Deep Etch Sandcarving

Our process smoothes, shapes, etches and cleans hard surfaces by forcing solid particles across the object at high speeds. By using an abrasive sieved to a uniform size, both quality and consistency can be achieved.

Two methods are in employ at Kalvanna Line ltd. a pressure-pot blast cabinet and a full sized blasting booth, complete with breathing apparatus and reclamation system. Both are capable of excellent detail, including half tones and multi stage deep etching.

Items must have an adhesive, photoresist film applied, and the unit completely masked to prevent any overspray. After sandcarving , the object must then be stripped and cleaned - while the process is labour intensive, the results are stunning.
